Why do payments appear in the Un-deposited funds list in Quickbooks?

The way QuickBooks works, there are two steps to ending up with money in the bank.

First, you receive a payment.

Second, you mark the payment as deposited.

This mirrors real life, first, you get a check in the mail , and second, you bring that check to the bank.


CommuSoft send all payments directly into un-deposited funds for you to then complete a bank reconciliation.
